Elders, and young children may join the march at Mary Mother of Mankind Parish in St. Michael
Shuttles every 15 Minutes from SMIS to Fairgrounds
Please bring water for the march and dress appropriate for the weather.

This morning, our campus was filled with energy and anticipation as students, community members, and alumni gathered together for Ash Wednesday Mass. The church felt alive with a shared sense of purpose an entire community. The moment the ashes were placed on each forehead became a powerful symbol of unity students, staff, families and graduates all beginning the Lenten season side by side. It was a reminder of the strong bonds that make our community great. We are incredibly proud of our students and deeply grateful to the alumni and community members who joined us today. Together, we've set a meaningful and inspiring tone for the season ahead.

Valentine Spirit Week Is Happening This Week! 💘
Our Valentine Spirit Week is in full swing, and students are enjoying a fun lineup of themed dress‑up days all week long!
Monday – Stuffed Animal Day
Students kicked off the week by bringing their favorite stuffed animals to school for a cozy and cheerful start.
Tuesday – Cupid Day
Today, students are showing off their Valentine spirit by wearing red, pink, and white.
Wednesday – 50s Teen Day
Students will travel back in time and dress like classic 1950s teens—think poodle skirts, leather jackets, and retro flair!
Thursday – Heart Day
Everyone is encouraged to wear anything with hearts to keep the love‑themed fun going.
Friday – Dress to Impress
To wrap up the week, students can wear Sunday’s best, traditional attire, or mass attire to finish Spirit Week with style and pride.
The excitement is building as St. Michael prepares to compete in the 2026 1A North Regional Tournament, with both the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams set to take the court this weekend. Hosted at Rock Point, the regional competition runs Friday, February 6, through Saturday, February 7, and features top teams from across the 1A North.
Boys Bracket Overview
The Cardinals boys’ team will take the floor on Friday, February 6, at 6:00 PM, facing off against Basis Flagstaff. A win will advance St. Michael to the semifinal game on Saturday morning at 9:30 AM, where they would meet Rock Point. The boys’ championship game is scheduled for Saturday at 6:30 PM.
The bracket also features strong programs such as Red Mesa, El Capitan, and Rock Point, all vying for the regional title and a chance to advance deeper into postseason play.
Girls Bracket Overview
The girls’ team enters the tournament on the opposite side of the bracket, taking on Red Mesa in their first matchup on Friday at 6:00 PM. Should they move forward, they will play their semifinal game on Saturday at 11:00 AM. The girls’ championship will take place on Saturday at 5:00 PM.
Other competing teams include Rock Point, Rough Rock, and El Capitan, making for a competitive field across both days.

General admission for the event is as follows:
Thursday: $10
Saturday: $15
Regional shirts will also be available for purchase—$20 for short sleeves and $25 for long sleeves, while supplies last.
Re‑entry requires an additional $5 admission.
As the Cardinals gear up for an exciting weekend of competition, the school community is encouraged to show support, wear red, and bring strong Cardinal spirit to Rock Point. Good luck to both teams as they represent St. Michael on the regional stage!

Reminder Valentines Bingo Happening this Friday!
Please join us for our Valentine Bingo tonight! February 13, 2026, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in the St. Michael Indian School Cafeteria. Doors will be open at 5pm and the first game starts at 5:30pm.
