May Blog

Today is the Feast day of St. Joseph the Worker.  As I reflect back on the year and think about the month ahead, I am grateful for all the hard work our students and teachers have put forth this year.  Tomorrow night will kick off the theatre season with a performance of “Stranger Things” by Mr. Groucutt’s Drama Class. On May 11 and 12 the “Ever After Musical” will be performed by our students under the direction of Mrs. Adams.  The May crowning will take place on May 4 during an all-school mass at 9:00AM. The eighth grade will enjoy a retreat to Santa Fe and Albuquerque on May 10 and 11.  The tenth grade will retreat to the Sacred Heart Retreat Center on Tuesday, May 15.  Senior week begins with finals on May 14-16.  The Alumni/Senior Breakfast will take place on Friday, May 18 at 8:30AM and Fr. Gilbert Schneider and Fr. Joseph will concelebrate Baccalaureate Mass the same day at 6PM.  Our seniors will graduate on Saturday, May 19 at 1:00PM at the field house in Fort Defiance. The preK move up ceremony is scheduled for May 23 at 10:00AM.   The eighth grade will have a mass on the same day at 6:00PM.  The last week of classes is May 29-31, with noon dismissals. Whew!  Another jam-packed month! Oh yes, summer school will begin on June 4 and run until June 29.  May God Bless you and hold you in the palm of His hand.
