In a few short days we will begin another school year, the start of my tenth year as a principal of a Catholic School. Since my graduate school days as a student in Educational Leadership, I have always wanted to contribute to Dine education and to lead at a Catholic school. What better place to do this than at a school founded by a Saint! St. Michael Indian School has always held a special place in my heart and I continue to see my work as making a positive difference in the lives of students.
I am looking forward to the start of the 2017-18 school year and to meeting all the new and returning students and their families. I continue to cherish the late summer and early fall days when gentle rain falls at SMIS and school begins. Stop by the gym at 6PM on August 16 for some conversation with our administration and to learn about the improvements which have been put into place for the new academic year. As always, let us constantly pray for the well-being of our school and for the success of our families as we strive to live out our Gospel values every day.
I am looking forward to another successful school year and will do everything in my power as SMIS Principal to make this happen.
